While bathing on which part of the body should water be poured first?

Most of us like to shower fully clothed, which is natural and normal. But according to Garuda Purana, one should never bathe naked. There must be some clothes on his body while bathing. Even in Sanatan Dharma, the sages have said a lot about bathing. In today's post we will mention some important things related to bathing.

It is said in Garuda Purana that while bathing, your ancestors are around you and absorb the water falling from your clothes. Due to which they get satisfaction. By taking bath the ancestors become unsatisfied and unhappy due to which the person's glory, strength, wealth and happiness gets destroyed. Therefore one should never take bath without wearing clothes.

Do you know which part of the body should be washed before bathing? If not then let us tell you. According to Sanatan Dharma, while taking bath, one should first pour water on one's feet. Water should be poured starting from the thighs to the feet and then onto the stomach and other parts. This means that bathing should start from the bottom and then move up. It is said that doing this provides mental strength and relieves stress. Actually, head is the hottest part of our body and feet is the coldest.

Therefore, whenever we pour water on our head while bathing, the body temperature suddenly goes down. When body temperature decreases, blood flow through the body decreases. You will be surprised to know that sometimes this can also lead to heart attack. It is also not considered suitable from health point of view.

Therefore, you should never pour water directly on your head while bathing. Bathing should always be started from the feet and water should be poured on the head at the end. Apart from this, one should always chant a mantra while bathing. By doing this the bathing water becomes pure and holy. The mantra is as follows -
