Ronggui Yang and Jiabo Yin, two scientists at the University of Colorado, claim to have created a film, a plastic sheet, that when applied to a building cools down its indoor temperature.
The film will work through a radiative cooling process. According to their claim, the use of this film will not consume any electricity. The film can be applied in building, office, home. These scientists say that by using this film the temperature of the room can be reduced significantly due to which you will feel cool.
This is how construction happened
According to reports, this film is made of a substance called polymethyl pentane. In which small pieces of glass have been mixed. One side of the film has a silver coating that will reflect the sun's rays. According to scientists, a film of 20 square meters can bring down the temperature of the house by 20 degrees Celsius, if the outside temperature is below 40 degrees. Film can also be made using roll-to-roll technology. Talking about the price, the cost of one square meter of this film will be around 50 American cents.

In view of the rapidly increasing threat of global warming across the world, this plastic can prove to be effective. Appliances like AC or Cooler require electricity but this film will cool the house without electricity. By one estimate, 6 percent of US electricity is used for air conditioning, and almost all developed countries consume similar amounts.
