The Election Commission has suggested voters to link Voter ID with Aadhaar. With the help of which more than one fake voter ID created in the name of the same person can be removed.
Voter ID and Aadhaar card are two important documents which are used for many important functions like opening a bank account, getting admission in school-college, getting driving license etc. By linking the Aadhaar number to the Voter ID, fake or multiple fake Voter IDs created in the name of the same person can be eliminated.
In such a situation, the Election Commission has suggested voters to link Voter ID with Aadhaar. Let it be known that this is not a mandatory process, but it will help in conducting fair elections. This is why the Election Commission has suggested voters to link Aadhaar with Voter ID.

How to Link Aadhaar Voter ID
Step 1:
First of all login and signup by visiting official portal of NVSP https://www.nvsp.in/ or Voter Seva Portal https://voters.eci.gov.in.
Step 2:
Enter mobile number, password and captcha code if you have registered. After this enter the OTP for account login. If you are not registered then click on 'Sign-up'. After this enter the mobile number and captcha code and then click on continue. After this enter OTT by entering your name and password. After that one time password will be sent to your mobile number. After this the signup process will be completed.
Step 3:
Scroll down and click on Aadhaar Collection option and fill Form 6B. After this Aadhaar and Election Photo ID will be required.
Step 4:
After this enter the EPIC number, which is registered on your Voter ID. After this click on 'Verify & Fill Form'.
Step 5:
After this, fill the form by selecting the language of your choice.
Step 6:
Then click on 'Next' option. Then fill 'Form 6B' and fill the required documents.
